Concept
The scope of the project was to build a replacement TMS using the CIL Application for FedEx Customized Freight (FCF) Product utilized by the FedEx Air Expedite Group.
The project leveraged integration to FedEx via FedEx Developer APIs & FedEx custom integration though a Layer7 Gateway and inhouse middleware.
The project included complex changes to allow for integration to FedEx Cloud Financials for Invoicing, Acruals, Revenue recognition, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payables (Vendor payables), plus currency and tax integration.
The resulting product aligned more closely with FedEx standards for financials and allowed for consolidation of invoicing functions.
